What is a long fill liquid?

A Longfill Liquid is an aroma that comes in a bottle and has to be mixed by the end user or the vape shop staff. For this you need base and nicotine shots, nicotine of course only if needed. When ordering online, you should follow the instructions on the bottle label. Longfill liquids usually have to mature for at least a week. With some manufacturers also 2 weeks. This varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. You can usually find the ripe time on the bottle label.

Why does a Longfill Liquid have to mature?

Longfill liquids have to mature like a good tea or wine. The reason for this is that, like a tea bag that has been infused with water, the base needs time to develop and absorb the full taste of the aroma. That's why we also speak of "steeping". The word comes from the English tea society and means "let steep". This could even be transferred directly as such, but the chemical process is somewhat different. Nevertheless, it's basically the same thing, if a liquid isn't fully matured, it tastes rather flat.

How do I calculate how many shots I need to put in my Longfill to get my nicotine level?

Actually there is a wonderful rule of thumb: Per 50ml a 20mg nicotine shot is 3,3mg/ml. So per 100ml, double the amount, I need 2 nicotine shots to get to 3,3mg/ml.

So if I want to have 100mg nicotine in a 9ml bottle, for example, I first fill up the Longfill Liquid with 6 nicotine shots. And add the base afterwards.
